As per Vedic Astrology, the placement of the planets is responsible for every problem you face. According to ancient astrology texts, Rahu has been described as the head of the snake and Ketu as its tail. So worshiping Lord Krishna while dancing on the snake's hood can help you get relief from the ill effect of Rahu and Ketu. 

Rahu and Ketu can also be appeased through charity or donation. It is believed that donating satnaja, tobacco, urad, raw coal, radish, mustard, coconut, oil, blue cloth, metal lead, etc., has been considered Rahu's karaka things. The karaka things of Ketu: black and white blankets, woolen clothes, goat, Satnaja, black and white sesame, etc. You can please Rahu and Ketu by donating these factors of Rahu on Saturday and Ketu on Tuesday.

To appease Rahu and Ketu, a rosary of their Beej Mantras can be chanted in the evening after sunset. You can also get freedom from the pain of Rahu and Ketu by reciting Shiva Sahasranama and Shri Hanumant Sahasranama.

Donating blue clothes for Rahu and brown clothes for Ketu brings peace to these two planets. Both these planets are pleased by worshiping Rahu and Ketu on Saturday and Tuesday and keeping fast on those particular days.

Donating Onyx on Saturday and Lehsunia Gem on Tuesday also brings peace to Rahu and Ketu. Chanting one rosary of this Panchakshari mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya' with a rosary of Rudraksha daily in front of the idol or picture of Panchmukhi Lord Shiva brings also helps you to appease Rahu and Ketu. The pain of Rahu and Ketu is pacified by chanting Maha Mahamrityunjaya Mantra/Japa with proper vidhi. The wrath of Rahu-Ketu is also appeased by worshiping the fierce form of Lord Vishnu, Shri Nrsimha, and Shivavatar Lord Bhairav. For appeasing Rahu, a piece of white sandalwood tied in a blue silk cloth should be worn in the Hora of Shani on Wednesday or Saturday.

On the other hand, a small piece of Ashwagandha root should be tied in a brown cloth and worn during the Hora of Mars on Tuesday to appease Ketu. By doing this, both these planets are pleased, and you can get relief from them. By feeding or serving food to lepers, poor, helpless, and needy on Tuesdays and Saturdays, you can appease Rahu Ketu in your birth chart.

Worshiping Goddess Neel Saraswati, i.e., Tara Devi proves very beneficial for the peace of Rahu. Worship of Goddess Ganesha is beneficial to appease Ketu. You can also donate raw coal, tobacco, and electrical items for Rahu. If you perform meditation regularly, then it can help you appease Ketu. Donating black-white sesame and black-white blanket on Tuesday helps you appease the planet Ketu. The wrath of Ketu is also appeased by the regular service of a monk, sannyasi, fakir, or any spiritual master.
